Our founder

From small workhshop to around the world…

Founded by Mehmet Alapala in 1954, Alapala began its commercial operations with the design and production of wooden sieves. Following the establishment of a flour factory in Çorum in 1961, Henry Simon, a manufacturer of milling machinery at the time, sought Mehmet Alapala's support to produce the necessary equipment for the flour production facility.

Drawing on the expertise he gained during this process, Mehmet Alapala started manufacturing sieves used in flour mills. Thanks to his emphasis on quality and meticulous workmanship, the sieves he produced quickly began to be used in factories across Turkey. Later, with the establishment of the Alapala Feed Factory in 1982 and the Alapala Flour Factory in 1984, the foundations of the Alapala Group were laid.
