Pioneer Foods was established in 1997 and is now one of South Africa’s largest producers and distributors of a wide range of branded food and beverage products.
The group operates primarily across South Africa, supplying wholesale, retail, and informal trade customers with products of consistently high quality, while also exporting to more than 60 countries. SASKO, their brand for flour and bakery products, operates through a network of seven wheat mills, three maize mills, packing plants, and distribution depots. Alapala was chosen to supply and install their new 300 TPD capacity flour mill investment at Durban Port.
