HAMMER MILL

“Hammer Mill machine is designed for particle size reduction process in food and feed industries.

It is generally used for grinding of by-products (kernel husks, bran and offals, etc.) in flour mills; as it has an also important place in feed mills, fertilizer plants, and extruder units.”

Application Fields

• Flour, Semolina, and Maize Mills

• Feed Mills

• Food Industry (Tea, malt, peas & nuts, coffee, tobacco processing plants etc)

• Chemical Industry (Plastic, paint, detergent and similar products)

• Wood Industry

• Non-Metal Industry (Lime, Cement, Soil plants, etc.)

Working Principle

Product should be fed into the hammer mill regularly with a suitable and speed controlled feeder, on which also generally has a magnet against any possible damage.

Particle size reduction process is carried out between a cylindrical sieve jacket and rotor fitted hammers. The product is grinded by the impact of the hammers with a very high-speed rotational movement. After reaching the desired particle size, the product is forced to move out of the perforations of the rotary sieve jacket. Then final product is collected in an outlet bunker.

The machine can work in two rotational directions, and product feed can be controlled by a diverter gate accordingly.
