Established in 1994, Olam’s Ghana operations have since grown, making the company one of leading agro-commodity companies in Africa today. Along with the enviable distinction of being among the large private Licensed Buying Companies (LBC) in Ghana’s Cocoa sector, Olam Ghana is also the country’s leading cashew exporter and one of its largest importers of rice.
In 2012, the new state-of-the-art wheat flour mill opened in Tema is commissioned by Alapala, and Olam became country’s one of the leading millers.
