The NEW SIMILAGO II is a next-generation roller mill developed in collaboration with Alapala’s R&D team and ITALDESIGN, a globally recognized Italian design and engineering firm.

SIMILAGO II is designed for continuous and consistent particle reduction processes of cereals such as wheat, maize (corn), rye, spelt, barley and sorghum.

SIMILAGO II Roller Mill is the exhibition of Alapala’s more than 60 years of experience in engineering and technology.

Every aspect of the machine has been carefully considered to meet the requirements for high quality, hygiene and safety standards.

SIMILAGO II is also equipped with high technology electronic control systems for an ultimate milling performance. SIMILAGO II is an award winning machine with its design, innovation and reliability.

Innovative Design, Unmatched Performance

The NEW SIMILAGO II represents a new milestone in milling technology, integrating smart automation, energy efficiency, and cutting-edge industrial design. With its robust performance, digital adaptability, and commitment to food safety, it is engineered for the future.

Structure

SIMILAGO II has a durable, strong and sturdy mainframe, which has been shaped by high precision and the most modern CNC machines that are available. The grinding rolls and their bearings are directly mounted on to the frame. This robust construction gives SIMILAGO II the ability to perform high capacity grinding with the continuous operation without affecting its performance and reliability.

Robust Chassis

Design The main chassis is made up of thick special carbon steel especially highly resistant to machine vibration ensure smooth and consistent machine operation.

Special Transmission Drive

SIMILAGO II’s specially designed transmission drive mechanism including specially profiled belt, which stands the test of time, ensures clean and silent operation without the need for lubrication.

Ergonomic Profile

The aerodynamic profile of the roll mechanism allows perfect air circulation between grinding rolls to avoid overheating of the mechanism, thus efficient operation and minimized unscheduled downtime.

Functionally

SIMILAGO II, bears various recent technologies to support operational practicality for the miller.

EZ Roll Pack Change System SIMILAGO II, with the EZ Roll Pack Change System ensures the change operation can be performed in just 20 minutes, which is a significant reduction in scheduled downtime.

The operation can be carried out with the standard toolset and no lifting devices required.

Central Lubrication System (optional) for bearings, offer reduced machinery downtime and labor cost compared to the manual lubrication.

LCD Touch Panel

A 7’’ LCD touch-panel screen is used to set the operational parameters, as well as monitoring the feed roll speed, hopper product level, electric motor amperage load and instantaneous power consumption.

Inspection Glass

The polycarbonate inspection glass enables the operator to inspect the status of the machine in feeding. It can also be easily removed from the outside without the need to dismantled the feed spouts and related parts, for cleaning.

Flexibility in Design SIMILAGO II comes with various variants for your tailor-made solutions including,

Technology

SIMILAGO II is equipped with high technology PLC controlled product feeding and grinding control systems in order to meet high performance standards.

Stock Level Control

The product level is controlled at the inlet bunker by load cells, which sends signals via PLC to adjust the feed roll speed for a uniform feed rate.

Slide Gate Mechanism

Pneumatically actuated slide gate mechanism adjusts feed amount to the feeding gap, thus ensures uniform flow to the feed rolls.

Roll Engagement System

This pneumatic system ensures the grinding rollers to be disengaged during the machine shutdown preventing any product blockage at the next start-up.

Dynamic Roll Pack

This mechanism protects grinding rolls against the damage by the oversized subjects and grains. Thus, ensure consistent and efficient grinding.

Gap Adjustment System

Precise and sensitive manual gap adjustment mechanism of grinding rolls ensures consistent and controlled milling process to comply with your product standards. The automatic gap adjustment option is also available with a servo motor application.

Roller Speed Monitoring System

This system (optional) electronically monitors the rotational speed of rear grinding rolls to ensure efficient and smooth system performance.

Hygiene

SIMILAGO II is built to comply with the high sanitation standards to ensure food safety and quality.

Isolated and Smooth Surfaces

SIMILAGO II’s frontal structure, including discharge hopper is double-walled and isolated against adhering and condensation. Moreover, internal surfaces are designed and built so that no product adhering or accumulation is possible contrasting with the food hygiene. Stainless steel product contact surfaces are also available as an option in conformity with the highest food safety standards.

Easy Cleaning

SIMILAGO II carefully designed to ensure maximum hygiene. In couple of minutes you can easily set lower chamber of feeding system rollers to fully open position with only a single movement. The doors and covers can also be quickly removed for easy access for thoroughly cleaning ensuring maximum hygiene.
